Hosting of Delegation from CCC/TSPM

The National Council of Churches hosted a delegation from the Church in China from 20 - 27 March 2009.


From 20-27 March 2009, the Council hosted a delegation from the Church in China.


Members of the delegation were:

  1. Rev Gao Feng, President of China Christian Council (CCC) – leader of delegation

  2. Rev Kan Baoping, General Secretary of China Christian Council

  3. Rev Xu Xiaohong, Secretary-General of the National Committee of Three Self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Churches in China (TSPM)

  4. Rev Hu Junjie, Vice-President, Henan Provincial Christian Council

  5. Rev Fan Chenguang, Vice-President, Urumqi Municipal Christian Council

  6. Ms Liu Xin, Secretary Overseas Relations Department of CCC/TSPM.


During their visit, the CCC/TSPM leaders met with the NCCS leaders and members. They also had time to interact and dialogue on the ministry of the Church, particularly in community services, pastoral and lay training, youth and student work. This was held on March 23 2009 at St Andrew’s Cathedral. A total of 70 people from different denominations attended the dialogue.


While in Singapore, they also participated in the International Consultation on Church Cooperation and Partnership in the Mission of the Church.


We record our thanks to the churches, schools, organisations and government bodies which received and helped in providing hospitality to the delegation.
